Bookkeeping for trades and home services
You run crews, quote jobs and buy materials every day. We keep the books behind it straight, so you know which jobs made money and where the cash went.
- Landscaping and lawn care
- HVAC, plumbing and electrical
- Roofing, painting and remodelling
- Cleaning and janitorial
- General contractors
What we sort out for businesses like yours
You can't tell which jobs made money
We tag income and costs to each job or job type in QuickBooks, so your monthly report shows margin by job type, not just one big number.
Material receipts get lost in trucks
Your crew photographs receipts and emails them to one address. We match each one to the card or bank line and attach it in QuickBooks.
Deposits and progress payments get muddled
Customer deposits are recorded against the right job, so a big deposit in March doesn't make March look better than it was.
Subcontractor paperwork piles up at year-end
We collect W-9s as you go and flag which subcontractors are likely to need a 1099, ready for your CPA in January.
Slow season catches you short
The 13-week cash forecast shows the quiet months coming, while there's still time to plan for them.
What it usually costs
Most crews of 3 to 15 people fit the Growth plan ($399/month): bookkeeping, invoicing and collections, and bills. Add payroll via Gusto (+$149/month) if you run payroll, and the year-end CPA and 1099 pack ($299 once a year) if you use subcontractors.
Prices are fixed and set by the number of bank and card lines in a normal month. No long contract, no setup fee, cancel any time. Books more than a month behind? Catch-up is quoted upfront.
Every monthly report is reviewed by our founder, Daniyal Paracha, FCA: ex-PwC, with 17 years in audit and group finance leadership. Book a 30-minute call.
Questions owners ask us
Do you work with job-costing in QuickBooks Online?
Yes. We use QuickBooks Online classes or projects, whichever your subscription supports, to tag income and costs to jobs or job types.
Do you file 1099s or do my taxes?
No. We collect W-9s and flag the subcontractors who are likely to need a 1099. Your CPA or tax preparer files them and handles your taxes.
My books are a year behind. Can you help?
Yes. Catch-up is a one-time fee of half your plan price per month behind, quoted upfront, and then we keep you current.
